MUSA Underwater Museum

The Manchones area is also home to installations from the MUSA Underwater Museum of Art, with hundreds of submerged sculptures created to support coral growth, reduce pressure on natural reefs, and add an unusual visual dimension to the dive.

The exact combination of reef and sculpture sites depends on conditions, operating plans, and the sites assigned for the day.

The natural reefs and the museum installations are individual points within the broader Manchones area, not a checklist for one outing. Landmarks such as La Cruz de la Bahía and selected works including The Silent Evolution, The Bankers and Urban Reef help explain the variety of possible routes. Your guide selects a suitable combination; visiting every named work is not part of the service promise.

Diving Inside the National Marine Park

The dive sites are located within a federally protected marine area. Divers must follow the guide’s instructions, maintain appropriate buoyancy, avoid touching coral or marine life, and respect all park and navigation rules.

Shared Reef Diving Schedule

The standard shared experience is available in morning and afternoon departures, subject to availability, weather, marine conditions, and operating requirements.

Morning Option

• 8:30 AM – Meeting.
• 9:00 AM – Boat departure.
• 9:30 AM – First dive.
• 10:30 AM – Second dive.
• 12:00 PM – Return.

Afternoon Option

• 12:30 PM – Meeting.
• 1:00 PM – Boat departure.
• 1:30 PM – First dive.
• 2:30 PM – Second dive.
• 4:00 PM – Return.

Times are operational estimates and may change because of conditions, diver preparation, site assignment, pier access, or daily logistics.

What to Bring and Tell Us

Bring your valid scuba certification, towel, sunglasses, hat, and biodegradable sunscreen. If you are prone to seasickness, take your preferred medication before departure and follow its instructions.

Before confirmation, provide your certification level, approximate number of logged dives, date of your most recent dive, equipment sizes, and any medical, mobility, or assistance considerations relevant to safe participation.

Hotel Pickup and Transportation

Marine pickup may be possible from hotels, residences, marinas, or piers with authorized dock access that can safely accommodate the vessel. Boarding directly from the beach is not available.

If your hotel does not have a suitable dock, private ground transportation to the assigned marina can be coordinated. Final logistics and any additional costs depend on location, access, group size, schedule, luggage, and operating conditions.
