Manchones Reef

Manchones Reef is the most famous reef in Isla Mujeres with its beautiful corals and large schools of fish. We're going to take you to the best areas of the reef for snorkeling. Including sea turtles, eagle rays, moray eels, groupers, barracudas, octopus and hundreds of other fish and coral species, the reef provides an impressive variety of marine life.

The Underwater Museum of Art MUSA

The world-renowned Underwater Museum MUSA is a collection of more than 500 life sized sculptures that was created with the intention of protecting the reef. The sculptures also stimulate coral growth to combat destruction from global warming. In addition, today the Underwater Museum MUSA provides protection for many species of juvenile marine life and is a symbol of environmental awareness. Come snorkeling MUSA and see it for yourself!.

Bring with you:

Biodegradable sunscreen, towel, sun glasses, hat. If you are prone to being seasick, please take medication to help ease your susceptibility to motion.

FAQ

  • How long is the ride out to the dive site?
    • The ride to the reef is about 30 minutes after departure from the ferry pier on our boats.
  • Can we arrange a pickup from your hotel by boat for the Snorkeling Tour?
    • Yes, we can pick you up or drop you off at any pier that will safely accommodate our boat. Be aware that not all piers are free. You will be responsible for any docking fees charged at the pier you choose if there are any
  • Do you rent cameras?
    • Yes, we have Go Pros for rent for MXN$800. We upload your photos and videos to our cloud for you to access and download later.
